I'm going to spice up my life...

I never thought the day would come where I was writing a blog. I always figured they were for more interesting and skilled people, but hey, I might as well give it a shot, right?

I'm a month into living in London, England, and I must say, this is light years away from home. When I look out the window, I don't see trees or snow, I see a concrete jungle and a skyline dotted with cranes. For the next 7 months, this is my home, so I might as well get to know it, right?

A while back I bought TimeOut's 2012 things to do in London, so I'm going to do just that! I'm going to go through this book, pick the best of the best, and do them.

When the weather is crappy and I can't be bothered to go out, this blog will transform into a cooking/ baking blog. I guess in a way, this whole thing has been inspired by the Canadian show Recipe to Riches. I was watching it last fall with my dad, and this Indian ice cream, Kulfi, won. I asked him to buy it for me, and he did. As soon as I tried it, I fell in love. The flavours danced in my mouth! It wasn't ordinary ice cream, it was so much better! After the move, I was fairly disappointed that I wasn't going to be able to eat it again for 8 months, but then I remembered something... This contest was a recipe contest, so I googled it, and I came up with this! Fast forward to the last week of January. I had two of Matt, my boyfriends', friends come over for dinner. I made this lucious dessert for them, and needless to say, they loved it.

The flavours were so complex, yet so simple. Cardamom and Rosewater. I personally think that these two flavours would be able to win at anything! I started putting them in everything, including my milk! Needless to say, I am now obssessed.

Follow me on my journey of sights and tastes, knowing me, it'll be quite an adventure
